Virgin Active Walbrook, also known as the Cannon Street club, is a central London health club operated by Virgin Active, located in the Walbrook Building near Cannon Street station in the City of London. It has been part of Virgin Active’s premium urban portfolio, offering a high-end gym floor, spa, studios and wellness facilities, and in recent years has expanded its class offerings to include programmes like Reformer Pilates and strength-focused sessions as part of its evolving wellness experience.

The club has undergone a number of major updates in recent years, including the introduction of Reformer Pilates and an expanded programme of strength, boxing and specialist group exercise classes. The club continues to invest in its premium offer through a modernised gym floor with Technogym and Eleiko equipment, alongside enhanced spa and recovery facilities designed to support member wellbeing in a central City of London setting.

PROJECT: New Reformer Studio

The scope of works involved the refurbishment and conversion of the existing Cycle and HP studios into a new Reformer Studio. Works included extensive soft strip-out of existing finishes, partitions, ceilings, flooring, fixtures and redundant M&E services, with selected elements retained or relocated as instructed. The project also comprised new electrical installations and relocations, upgraded wall, floor and ceiling finishes, installation of new engineered oak flooring and skirtings, alterations to doors and glazed screens, sprinkler modifications, and full redecoration, all delivered in accordance with the approved drawings and specialist contractor requirements.
