Virgin Active Kensington
CLIENT: Red Dot
LOCATION: London
Virgin Active Kensington originated as a Holmes Place health club, part of a premium London fitness brand founded in 1980, and became Virgin Active Kensington after Virgin Active acquired Holmes Place in 2006. Since then, it has continued as a large, full-service health club, evolving through refurbishments while retaining its upscale heritage.

Recently, Virgin Active Kensington completed a major refurbishment, including a fully upgraded gym floor with new Technogym and Eleiko equipment and the introduction of a dedicated Recovery Zone. The club also added Lift Club strength training, refreshed studio programmes such as Reformer Pilates and sound-based classes, and enhanced its overall wellness offering while retaining its pool and spa facilities.
PROJECT: Gym Floor Refurbishment
CN Projects provided tailored Health & Safety support during the gym floor refurbishment at a busy central London club, delivering regular site audits, reviews of contractor documentation, and toolbox talks specific to the Kensington environment. The work focused on ensuring full compliance with CDM Regulations 2015, managing risks in a live, premium leisure setting, and maintaining safe working practices while minimising disruption to members and day-to-day operations.
